“It is the very error of the moon.
She comes more near the earth
than she was wont. And makes
men mad.”
—William Shakespeare, Othello

Much Ado About The Moon?
A survey revealed that 45 percent of college students believe moonstruck humans are prone to unusual behaviors.
And. It is understood that a Wolfe is led by the full moon when it is time to mate.

The moon has a secret she should tell;
just watch how she leaves you
as easily as she once gave you hope—
mythical celestial beings you overvalue.

Sifting through the stardust, memories
pressed between your heavenly bodies
revealed twas you the moon would tease.
Distance mattered to you; earthly love didn’t please.

You claimed you were moonbeamed by her,
that she stenciled you with night’s ultramarine,
that her touch was your tittolator;
I think it’s what turned you into a libertine.

If I had shone brighter than any star in the
cosmos, would it have mattered? From chips
of a tree, your paper heart was made; that muscle
was weak and finally folded in my fingertips.
